Fort Collins, Loveland, and Northern Colorado’s Trusted Ophthalmologists
Even if you’ve had 20/20 vision all your life, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration can sneak up on you with no warning at all. With regular checkups we can discover these problems early, when they’re easier to treat. Left to progress unchecked, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration could eventually rob you of your sight forever. “The best is yet to be” and we’ll help you to see life in all of its glory!
Dr. Andrew Norris and his staff of The Eye and Laser Center of Fort Collins are dedicated to early detection and treatment to halt this silent and significant cause of blindness in adults.
Glaucoma usually begins after the age of 40 and has no symptoms. As it progresses, it causes undetectable loss of one’s peripheral (side) vision and permanent damage to the optic nerve. That’s why it is critical to have your eyes checked regularly.
At The Eye and Laser Center of Fort Collins, the glaucoma examination is a standard part of your regular eye examination. Should we find glaucoma, there are a variety of modern treatment options available throughout the office.

The significant cause of legal blindness in older eyes has come to the forefront in recent years due to current studies that are being performed. There seems to be a connection between visible and invisible light rays and nutritional factors that contribute to macular degeneration.
At The Eye and Laser Center of Fort Collins, we have been treating patients with preventative and nutritional measures to slow this aging disease process of older eyes. In the rare instance where your eye may require laser or one of the other treatments available, we have the capability of diagnosing and in many cases effectively treating this disorder.
