Frequently Asked Questions

Fees:

At the end of your visit you will receive a statement which explains the services performed and the fees for each service. Unless otherwise agreed to in advance, we ask that all non-covered services and co-pays be paid for at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept personal checks and most credit cards. Please call the office in advance if you have questions about our charges/fees.

Making an Appointment:

Our friendly staff can help you make an appointment at a convenient time. We also have morning appointments as early as 7:30 am for those who work.
As a new patient we ask that you either register your information online under the “Web Registration” section, or show up to your appointment 15 minutes early to hand-fill out paperwork. If you have your old records, contact lens, or glasses Rx with you we encourage you to bring them in so that we can better know your eye history. Even existing patients can update their medications, medical conditions, insurance, and other personal information using our Web Registration!

Canceling an Appointment:

If for some reason you are unable to make a scheduled appointment we respectfully request that you call to reschedule at least one business day in advance. For more information on cancellations see our office policy in the “Links” menu, along with the HIPAA privacy policy.

On the Cutting Edge with Electronic Health Records:

We are ahead of the curve when it comes to the new Federal regulations on Physician Quality Reporting; we do not have paper charts in our office, so you know that your medical record is 100% firewall secured, and able to be pulled up from anywhere in our office at all times. We do not even have to print our prescriptions for you, if you are prescribed a medication, when you leave the office your pharmacy will have already received your prescription!

-MySecureHealthData.com is the host for our patient portal. Access is available to Windows users (sorry not accessible to Apple users). You will receive an email from the office at the end of your appointment with a link to access and review your medical records.

-We are part of the Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange (CORHIO) which allows doctors and hospitals all over the region to have access to your medical information in an emergency from our office.

-We have access to view and pull information on our patients from the University Colorado Health system as well.
